Our standard rate for both English to Japanese and Japanese to English translation is 10.5 cents (USD) per English word. Based on the technical nature of the text being translated, this may go up but we generally don't exceed 12 cents per English word. For a formal quote, please e-mail the material to be translated to sales@haucksjapanese.com and we will try to respond ASAP (usually within 24 hours) with a final dollar amount. If your company requires the quote to be in a specific format, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

We will begin work as soon as the quote we provide has been accepted and will complete the translation within the agreed upon time period (if applicable). Once completed, the translation will be sent in a Microsoft Word document or Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that has been password protected (please let us know if another format is preferred). At the same time, we will send a PayPal invoice for the agreed upon price. We use PayPal because it allows us to offer a greater number of payment options to our clients. Once the funds have been verified by PayPal (which can happen quite quickly for certain payment options) we will provide the password to open the file. This is done to protect both parties.
